Destinations International Welcomes Paula Beck as the Organization’s Marketing Director

Washington, D.C. (April 24, 2019) – Destinations International today announced that Paula Beck has joined the association as the Director of Marketing.

In her new role, Beck will work with the marketing and communications team to develop and implement analytics-driven marketing and branding strategies for the organization.

“We are thrilled to welcome Paula to our team,” said Don Welsh, President and CEO of Destinations International. “She brings a wealth of knowledge to our team from working with destination organizations and the travel and tourism industry and we look forward to working with her as she helps to further develop our organization’s mission, enhance its brand and strengthen its impact.”

Beck has professional experience from a Fortune 500 corporation, destination marketing organizations, and National Park environments. Prior to joining Destinations International, Beck served as the Director of Sales and Marketing for eight years within Aramark’s Parks & Destinations division. There, she led the overall promotional programs of hospitality services within the National Park & Forest markets, including Yellowstone National Park, Lake Tahoe and Olympic National Park. She is an expert at building marketing strategies focusing on increasing revenue and impacting the economy for her tourism clients.

From 2006-2010, Beck served as Marketing Manager at onPeak LLC in Chicago, IL where she created and managed marketing campaigns for industry trade shows in the U.S., Germany and United Kingdom. Since her relocation to Alexandria, VA in 2018, Beck has been consulting for destination organizations and hotel suppliers.

Beck is a graduate of East Carolina University in Greenville, NC with a Bachelor of Arts in German Foreign Language and Literature and International Studies, which included a year of studying abroad at the University of Konstanz in Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany. She also holds an Associates of Applied Sciences degree in Interactive Multimedia from the International Academy of Design & Technology in Chicago, IL.
