Kim Bach

With a strong background in the travel and tourism industry, Kim currently holds the position of Senior Director of Partnerships at Destinations International. In this role, Kim leads a team dedicated to fostering partnerships, and business membership, and implementing projects that drive sustainable business growth in both new and existing markets.

Prior to joining Destinations International, Kim served as a Partner Manager for the Adventure Travel Trade Association. In this capacity, she successfully led strategic initiatives and managed partners across multiple regions, including North America, Oceania, and Asia. Her responsibilities also encompassed overseeing Gear and Media accounts. Kim's ability to assess partner needs, identify global opportunities, and implement effective strategies played a crucial role in onboarding new partners, evaluating risk, and fostering product growth on a global scale.

Before her tenure with the Adventure Travel Trade Association, Kim worked as a Program Manager for a prestigious expedition travel company and was responsible for global travel logistics and operations for 35+ maritime and overland programs. This experience accelerated her foundation for organizational project management, and communication skills; all of which have heavily influenced her success with managing people and projects.
Kim's professional journey also includes strategic positions at Visit Seattle, the Destination Marketing Organization for the city of Seattle and the Pacific Northwest. While there, she led customer-facing engagement for partner services, provided support for six international inbound markets, and partnered alongside companies such as The Washington Tourism Alliance, Delta Airlines, and The Washington Wine Commission.  

Kim's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Communications from Washington State University. Furthermore, her passion for travel has taken her to over 60 countries across six continents. Noteworthy achievements include completing a mid-winter trek to Everest Base Camp and crossing the Antarctic Circle at 66° south. In 2014, Kim embarked on an inspiring adventure around the world as an Ambassador for The Travel Effect, a national advocacy campaign aimed at promoting the benefits and significance of travel.

Kim brings her passion for the travel and tourism industry to the Destinations International team and is excited to work with the Destinations International community to facilitate connections and provide resources that can help businesses grow and strengthen our entire industry. Kim resides in Bend, Oregon, and enjoys skiing, hiking, paddle boarding, and hitting the links in search of her 3rd hole-in-one.
